Adaptive Technology Center

Overview

the adaptive lab Cal Poly provides a wide variety of computer resources for students in mainstream computer labs across campus. Equipment is also available for eligible students who are not able to utilize mainstream computing resources.

Students may use adaptive computer equipment in Room 229 of Building 124 (the Disability Resource Center) during normal business hours, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, as a collaborative effort with the Cal Poly Kennedy Library, DRC offers access to an Adaptive Technology Center located in Room 216 H and J of the Kennedy Library.

Students who are interested in using this equipment should:

  • Verify their disability with the DRC office.
  • Meet with a DRC Access Specialist, who will then authorize use of the Adaptive Technology Center.
  • Make an appointment for a training orientation. To schedule an appointment, call the Alternative Media Center at 756-5796, or email: altmedia@calpoly.edu.
  • At this meeting, AMC staff will review the Adaptive Technology Center Process and Responsibilities.
