How do I enroll in a supplemental workshop?

How do I enroll in a workshop offered through
Supplemental Workshop in Science?

Students in classroomYou must enroll via CPReg! Preferably, you should add the workshop on or before the last day to add courses via CPReg which is the Thursday before classes begin. You can also add a workshop on or soon after the first day of classes, provided spaces are available.

To add on or after classes begin you will need to obtain a class Permission number from the facilitator leading the workshop. Then you will need to submit that Permission number via CPReg. The last day to enroll in courses using the Permissions via CPReg is the 8th day of classes. After that day, all workshops are closed just like any other class*. Auditing is not permitted. So remember:

  • Add your workshop via CPReg no later than the Thursday before classes begin.
  • If for some reason you were not able to add prior to the last day to add courses via CPReg:
    • Attend the workshop and obtain a Permission number from the workshop facilitator
    • Add the workshop by submitting your Permission number on CPReg on or before the 8th day of classes.

For questions regarding CPReg and registration deadlines, please visit the Office of Academic Records webpage or contact the SWS staff at (805) 756-2301.

*A “Late Add Appeal” process is available and may be approved in special cases, consult the workshop facilitator and/or the Office of Academic Records. Usually, “Late Add Appeal” deadline is early in Week 3 of the term.
